A successful work placement doesn’t just depend on your motivation, but also on your ability to communicate with your colleagues. This also applies to taking part in everyday life and
establishing contacts with the people of Pforzheim.
As a language of communication, English is a great help in various situations. In your company and everyday life however, not everybody speaks English, so elementary German can be of
advantage.
This is why SIM Europe offers a survival course in German during the first few days of your stay. Fundamental language structures are practiced and life in a company and daily routines are tried
out. A concomitant language course can be organised on request.
The course takes place in blocks of four lessons (45 minutes per lesson) and is carried out by qualified native speaking teachers. The language course also helps you to take time to acclimatise,
to get to know the way of life in Pforzheim and begin your work placement without stress.
For participants with intermediate knowledge of German or English, SIM Europe can provide a language partnership. The trainee and the language partner meet regularly in their spare time and
communicate in both languages (native and foreign) to enable each partner to improve their language skills.
